From its beginnings,CANALS ART has promoted, from the south-European city of Sant Cugat, the vanguard art and the interests of modernity.
Many prestigious artists, both national and strangers, are in its programmings, as well as late artists of the end of the 20th century and this beginning of the 21st century. CANALS ART also produces the biennial and roving artistic contest, through Catalunya and the Principat d'Andorra.
The Gallery, which actively promotes art at national and international scale, is placed near the Sant Cugat Royal Monastery, built in the XII and XIII centuries, a privileged place for the art near Barcelona
